Our first series showcased an array of incredible talent, diverse voices and new ideas.
Whether you’re into music, art, food, design, theatre, dance, fashion, performance or something that doesn’t fit neatly into any box, we want to hear from you.
OUR SPACE, YOUR VISION
Successful applicants of the M.PWR Series will have venue hire waived for their event; bringing them one step closer to making their creative vision a reality within the walls of Machine Hall.
We are looking for creatives who have a track record of bringing community together through their craft, and are ready to take their practice to new levels.

Individuals, collectives, or cultural initiatives dedicated to producing creative work across (but not limited to) art, music, writing, design, fashion, dance, theatre, film, and other forms of expression. We are looking for community-driven initiatives, operating outside mainstream and commercial channels.
We are looking for a general DIY ethos, where creativity is fueled by personal passion, shared community values, and the desire to drive social change—free from the influence of corporate agendas or mass-market demands.

Originality: How does your voice, perspective, or story shine through your art, performance, or event in a way that feels fresh, unique, and authentic?
Innovation: How does your idea challenge norms or push boundaries within your field? Does it introduce new methods, concepts, or perspectives that inspire progress or spark curiosity?
Community Value: How does your participation in the M.PWR Series promote positivity, inclusivity, and a sense of connection? Does it offer the community a chance to reflect, grow, celebrate, or find inspiration?

1 x pre-contract venue walkthrough2 × 1hr operational site inspections
Additional operational walkthroughs may incur a fee POA.

Once your application is successful, we encourage you to consider and apply to either of the following grants that the the City of Sydney has to offer, to help further support your event.
